Re: Input and output filtering

Hi! I see on this schematic that the input and the output are filtered by two second order opamp filters. Is it necessary to use them on a guitar pedal design? Is SNR improved with this method? http://www.echotapper.nl/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/eTAP2hw_1_5b.jpg Thanks! The way filtering was des...

What do you say about this ? I think, in that way I can connect much more eeproms by adding next gates. Do you think it will work ? Assuming it is for guitar. The voltage out of the guitar is assumed 1 volt p/p the signal into the A/D port should then be 3.2 volts to assure S/N is optimal. Why not ...

The term "analog" I consider the "deterioration" of each successive repeat. As is done in analog devices delay. The idea is to feed the feedback through a shelving filter so the center frequency gets each time slightly amplified in the region of 1-2dB this initial curve should b...

SIN test generator based on the FV-1

Developing code for the Fv-1 requires audio signals for testing the functionality of the designed code. Obviously exact audio test generators can be used but also this Fv-1 device, to generate particular frequencies or even pulse, can be used for that purpose. Here is a generic solution based on an ...

RDA possible to use buffer_begin + POT to change time?

Hi, I'm wondering if it is possible to use a POT entry to vary the time of a delay. I'm aware of the fact that we're talking about different formats S1.14/S1.9/S.10 but it would make my coding of a new echo emulation simpler. The  was to use the delta, factor or even the buffer length as the va...

A deep bow to Frank, Sean and Slacker!!
I'll get it in my code and put the hardware (PIC processor) back on the shelf. I believe that a LP filter is to be added see:

Thanks!

Noise is a special case, while the FV-1 does not have a random number generator the last few bits in a sample tend to be random due to noise in the surrounding circuit, power supply, etc. so take the last few bits and amp them up to the level you need. Do you have any example code for this, Frank? ...

The inputs are directly connected to the fv-1. The rational is that the unit was designed by a keyboard player. He just required 'line in'. For guitars a preamp should be added.

Re: tape flange

This is great stuff!! I recall this to be two reel-to-reel recorder set-up used at the Abbey road studios in that era. Myself I'm more in the guitarsound (Shadows) from that studio and therefore confused towards this flanging beeing only the reel-to-reel combo. Looking at your low freq's in more det...

On the Resources posting, there is link to a German web page describing a rotary (Leslie-type) speaker DIY project. It looks like they even post the hex file for the FV-1. Google does only a fair job at translating the page. I would love to know more about what they did. Are they members of this fo...
