Phase difference between wet&dry signals
HI, I'm looking at using the FV-1 in a design where the FV-1 acts as a send/receive FX block. There is an analog channel which must remain untouched - the FV-1 would be fed from the analog channel and a % mixed back in late in the analog chain. Should I be concerned about the phase difference betwee...

FV-1 - Unused input
I have seen other questions on this topic and the recommendation for mono designs is to drive both right and left inputs... However, is there any power saving that can be accrued if, instead, one input is coupled to ground via a capacitor of, say, 1uF? The corresponding output would be left floating...

FV-1 Dev Board - external EEPROM
With reference to the FV-1 Dev Board schematic:
1) Can the EEPROM I2C address be changed? If so, how?
2) What is the layout of the EEPROM as it pertains to the stored programs? If I want to replace program N, what address do I start writing from?

FV-1 Dev Board MID decoupling capcitor
With reference to the FV-1 dev board schematic, C22 is a 10uF tantalum capacitor. As this is decoupling the internal VDD/2 power rail, can it be replaced with a 10uF 50V X7R ceramic?

FV-1 Dev Board - Output resistors and capacitors
With reference to the FV-1 Dev Board schematic, what is the purpose of resistors R7, R8? Are they to allow the output capacitors to charge during power up when there is nothing physically connected to the output connectors? If yes, can they be removed for designs where the output feeds other interna...

FV-1 Dev Board - input capcitors
With reference to the FV-1 Dev Board schematic and tantalum capacitors C15, C31: 1. Can these capacitors be replaced with film capacitors? I.e. is there anything that specifically requires them to be tantalum dielectric? 2. Can the value be reduced to 0.47uF? Given and input impedance of between 80k...

FV-1 Dev Board - 30k input resistors
Referring to the FV-1 Dev board schematic, what is the purpose of the 30k input resistors R3, R4? Can they be omitted for designs where the input is fed from other internal circuitry as opposed to the outside world?

Digital potentiometers/DAC
A couple of questions: 1. Does anyone have any experience that they can share driving the FV-1 pot inputs using digital potentiometers or DACs? Is there a recommended method? 2. Is the internal 9-bit quantisation of the pot inputs a simple Vdd/512 formula (with hysteresis around these values)? Regar...

FV-1 power consumption
The data sheet says 50mA typ, 70mA max. Does anyone have any insights into how to keep current draw to an absolute minimum?

Thanks for your replies. To elaborate, I have a guitar amp that I'm looking to add the FV-1 circuitry for effects and it struck me that a built-in tuner would also be a nice option particularly if the FV-1 could perform that task as well. The FV-1 would need to be able to provide some output that wo...
