Re: Using 6 Pots on the FV-1

This is an untested idea, and there may be techincal limitations of the FV-1 that would keep it from functioning properly. There are only 3 Pot inputs to the FV-1 but sometimes you need more for a program. The way to add more pots is to multiplex the pot input channels on the FV-1 so that multiple ...

Re: Spring reverb

Hi guys

I am tinkering a bit with the original algorithm

Is there any easy way to add a simple highcut "tone" knob at the output of the reverb (wet) instead of having tremolo?

The description says it can be done but I am afraid I cannot find a proper way to do it

Thanks in advance

Re: Extra pot input in stereo operation?

Thank you for the swift response Frank!

I thought that would be the case but had to ask to be 100% sure

Extra pot input in stereo operation?

Hi guys

I'm using the chip in stereo and want to add an extra pot to have 4 control pots in total. Is it even possible without sacrificing the stereo operation?

Re: Triangle wave from sin LFO

Thanks again for your help Larry! Cheers You'll need to mix the servo delay output with the dry signal to get flanging. You might want to try a phase inversion also. If you're having trouble hearing anything, turn everything up - delay time, servo gain, LFO width and frequency. You should now be on ...

Re: Triangle wave from sin LFO

To use arbitrary waveforms in pursuit of "chorusey" type things in SpinCAD Designer, use the "Servo Flanger" block. The Chorus blocks use the chorus specific instructions (can't remember them any more... CHO RDA or something) which are hardwired to use one of the SIN/COS LFOs. T...

Re: Triangle wave from sin LFO

Hello Is it possible to incorporate any of these snippets in a simple chorus algorithm like the one below from SpinCAD Designer which has sine LFO?? SKP RUN ,1 WLDS 0,50,64 RDAX POT1,0.0068613000 WRAX SIN0_RANGE,0.0000000000 RDAX POT0,0.1379256360 WRAX SIN0_RATE,0.0000000000 LDAX ADCL WRA 0,0.0 CHO ...

Re: Pot and program selection pins max current ??

Should be no problem, these things are normally in the microamp range. You may want to check if the DAC requires a minimum load some do to operate properly so the input impedance may be too high and you need to add a load resistor. You may need to check that the voltage is in range as well, if usin...

Re: Pot and program selection pins max current ??

We never measured those specific parameters but the POT inputs are 10M minimum input impedance and the switch inputs are normal digital inputs so they will also be high input impedance. Basically shouldn't be an issue for any micro to drive them. Thanks for the swift reply Frank! At the moment I'm ...

Pot and program selection pins max current ??

Hello!

I want to control the pot and program selection pins via a microcontroller / dac.
Do we know the maximum current these pins get?

So should I just jumper both inputs or maybe use separate signal cap to each input ??

where to connect unused input/output ?

I am using the chip on mono mode and wondering where it would be best to connect the unused I/O pins to minimize noise.
Should that be straight to reference (pin3) or maybe via a resistor or capacitor?
Any thoughts are welcome

Well the outputs are not so different like for example in the ROM reverb algorithms where you can clearly hear a significant audible difference between left and right outputs.

I don't want to change the overall sound cause i love it so i wasn't thinking of completely separate reverb structures.
