Ah, yes, good point. I should have more coffee before I reply, haha.

Ah, that's clever. I guess I'd have to go with some tiny value though as otherwise it would cause the pitch to be noticeably higher than the dry signal...

Yeah, so the momentary is effectively tying the wiper (pin 2) and pin 3 of POT0 together, where pin 1 is to GND. So I can see why that's shorting - my question is, when the wiper is over at the ground side, what's the best way of stopping this happening? Presumably adding a small value of resistor b...

Hey guys, at work but I will check the schematic when I get home... I took out a few parts to save space on this iteration and maybe I did something stupid like taking out a resistor... that's a good point (and would be par for the course in terms of rookie bloody errors I suppose). Thanks for the h...

Glitch/power off at minimum pot value?

Background: I've got a momentary switch that bypasses POT0 to send the ref voltage and 'max' the pot for momentary weirdness. Now, it might be the case that a) I'm making assumptions or b) I've made a hardware mistake, but for an example like this (generated from DL's SpinCAD) I find that if POT0 is...

Cool, was just curious. The crossfade is very dreamy, I was basically wanting to get something going with that. I'll reverse engineer it and see what I can do :)

DL - in spincad (I've been mucking around with build errrm 998 I think) with the reverse delay patch, how do you set the delay buffer time? I'm assuming that the 'feedback' is a fixed amount...

Or do you have to export the patch as ASM and add the control there?

Yeah S1 and S2 are both getting the same voltage for each, after checking again with the DMM. Must have misread it the first time. I've checked the schematic, diodes (on this board) and traces (on a fresh board), so it looks like I'll have to do a bit of digging to work out why there's a connection....

One last thing - I'm finding that PROG 4 is running my program from PROG 6 - I take it the only explanation for this is that I've got the wrong voltage being delivered to the pins right? I've got a 1p8t switch and some diodes in place in a similar way to some of the implementations I've seen on here...

Reflowed all the pins and added a bit more solder and it sprang to life. Thanks again!

Ah okay, at least that validates my suspicion. I'll give it a clean to make sure flux isn't the issue too, and report back. Thanks!

Troubleshooting a semi-working board

I've already implemented a board using the FV1, but it was super hard to solder in a logical order, so I redrew it. Just finished putting together the revision and I have a weird issue - I get audio through (both dry and wet - I've got a mix pot) but the signal keeps flashing out to a kind of static...

Digital Larry, you're not on /r/diypedals as HolyCity are you? I think I might have had a short exchange with you on PCBs there. I've just finished testing a prototype PCB in Eagle and with a two-layer board and sensible component placement I was able to use the autorouter to do much of the board. I...
