You define "filter" as 0.8 but then do "RDAX filter" and RDAX expects a register not a decimal value as the first parameter.

Yes but we are talking assembly here which is far closer to the hardware than C, a simple logical OR in C may map to multiple assembly instructions not just one.

One thing to consider is if you re ...

Most likely the combination of flags makes no sense to the logic in the instruction decoder. "SKP neg|gez" is illogical to a hardware decoder since we are using the sign bit to decide. "SKP neg|gez" i ...

We never developed a spec for this, I would just try it out and see what you get. It will vary based on sample rate as there is a counter involved in the internal reset sequence.

Yup, looks like it is not handling the order of operations properly. I did not write the assembler for FV-1 so do not know how they parse the equations or solve them but it does look like a simple le ...

It really comes down to a few things, using the right 8051 type part and making sure the assembler will assemble properly for it.

As to the 8051 type part, that may be a challenge since Phillips no ...

Basically any parts supplier, they are known as thumbwheel potentiometers such as:

There are many variants of the 8051, you need to make sure you are using and the assembler is set to assemble for the right one. The comment in line 2 states it must be an 8K variant with ctr2 (counte ...

Nope, the POT inputs are just POT inputs so it must be the way your code uses them. If you are doing a delay type thing where the pointer is controlled by the POT then you will hear a sweep in frequen ...

There are many things that can cause you to hear an oscillation, noise on the board, etc. The simple fix is to limit the reverb time as it simply may be too long.

The FV-1 is the chip not a board, do you mean a dev board? If so you might want to see if you need any buffering, I do not know if there is any standard for euro rack signal levels. Also you risk dama ...

It really depends on your target product. The SKRM example schematics assume that the input is a signal that needs a bias to be in range for the FV-1, other schematics may assume no bias is needed. Yo ...

Nothing to share yet, just taking longer than we would like but at least it is all forward movement.

Something like that should work. You can also try smoothing the modulation source or taking it further and interpolating between samples.

We never derived that equation since the circuit was designed for address offsetting rather than as an LFO. You should be able to just write the ramp to a DAC output to measure the frequency for diffe ...
