Re: SPN file to Arduino
In the Spinasm program 1. click 'open project' 2. add you program to one of the 8 slots for effects. 3. Save project. (for future use) 4. make sure the box labelled 'intel hex' is ticked. 5. Press the 'build' button. It will save you file ready to flash to the EEPROM in the path you select or the de...

Re: Help me
You need to post details of your hardware, example are using a circuit board you have designed yourself or are you using the Spin development board. If you are using your own design, have you fitted a crystal as no crystal would make the LED clip light all the time. Similar if you are using an exter...

Re: Power up sequence?
I think a board layout may help a lot.
Does the analogue part of the circuit work correctly with the FV-1 removed, with no FV-1 in place you can solder a link from the pads of 1+2 to whatever output you are using 27or28. Test the full audio path that way.

Re: Power up sequence?
Hi Matt, all those voltages look ok. do you have any of your pots connected to the FV-1 circuit, if so set them at midway point and take a voltage reading to make sure you get 1.65v appx. Pins 15/16 read approx. half supply voltage but I do have those connected up to external EEPROMS. Have you tried...

Re: Power up sequence?
Maybe a picture of the PCB area around the FV-1 or PCB layout around the FV-1 to see if any of us can spot any possible problems will help.

Re: Power up sequence?
Sounds like there may be a short somewhere. Have you checked for continuity between FV-1 pins that shouldn't have continuity.

Re: Help. Noise at power up.
Use a 33pf cap on the crystal or a different crystal. It is a well known issue which will be cured be one or the other solution.

Re: SpinCAD Designer can now export 8 patches to a Spin Project
I never receive a confirmation email to get into that forum, where else can I download spincad? I think the confirmation is done manually so may take a day or two for Digital Larry to send the confirmation. be patient and if no reply after a day or two then I would sugeest giving digital larry here...

Re: SMD Crystal oscillator
I have used many SMD oscillators before but the cylinder ones are 1/3rd the price so I stick with the cylinder ones.

Re: Shimmer
I'm reposting this Shimmer as when the forum was updated/ported over some codes were corrupted with page breaks or something that would not allow the copy and pasted code to compile without error. There were a lot of these : added to the code for whatever reason. So I have edited out the erro...

Re: Popping on Startup
Yep, tried it again and it pops every time its turned on and off vs. only after the first initial startup. Is this common problem folks are having or should I look at a re-design of the buffered bypass portion of the circuit? No it is not a common problem, look at your bypass switch (SW1C) maybe mo...

Re: Popping on Startup
There may be a small DC offset on C2 Try placing a 1M resistor at the junction of SW1A and C2 to ground, this should help.

Re: Read Programs from EEPROM
I don't know if you can do this directly within the Developer kit or not as I do not use this myself, but I would expect there will be a way to save the hex file from the EEPROM witch you can then use to program other EEPROMS. Someone else may answer if this is easy to do, but...… READING AND WRITIN...
