1 volt per octave

Post by MacroMachines »

I am wondering if anyone has tried using a pot input as a 1 volt per octave input for modular synth tuned effects/oscillators? it strikes me this is a decent chip to actually synthesize as well:

Im curious if this seems possible, I will be using a micro controller and DAC to drive the pot inputs (I realize that is bass ackwrd but I love the stuff Im making with this crazy fast using spinCAD and asm)

I may also make a low cost design without the micro and just a bank of nice sound generators, and that is why I wondered if it might be possible to get at least close to 1 volt per octave tuning by scaling the pot inputs to accept modular cv level signals.
