Encoder

Post by Gennadiy »

Hello!
Can you please tell me if it is possible to use Coded Rotary Switches, such as https://www.mouser.bg/ProductDetail/Nid ... TlTg%3D%3D ?
Maybe you can use EVQ-V9C00116E ( https://www.mouser.bg/ProductDetail/Pan ... 4YmA%3D%3D ) ? But I don't understand how to connect it.
Perhaps there is another component that can be bought on Mouser or https://lcsc.com and used for the encoder.
I just want to repeat the circuit http://www.spinsemi.com/app_download/3K_SKE.pdf , but I don't understand what can be used as an encoder.

Can 24LC32A be replaced with 24LC64-E/P or 24LC512-I/P ?
The 24LC32A is currently out of stock in a DIP-8 package.

Help me please!

The Nidec one you linked to is 10 position, you want an 8 position of that type.
The Panasonic one is the wrong type, you want absolute position and the Panasonic one is not.
You can use a 24lc64 or 24lc128 just make sure to write to them starting at address 0. The upper areas of memory cannot be accessed so still limited to 8 programs in the EEPROM.

Frank, thanks!
S-1110A, has 16 positions. I wanted to connect it like you have on the board, without the last pin.
This is right?
