New support site for SpinCAD Designer

Post by Digital Larry »

I'll continue to hang out at diystompboxes.com, but I'm also developing a more centralized site for my DSP interests which eventually will include some plugin development (VST/AU). Recently I have put together some videos and articles showing how to get started with SpinCAD Designer and develop some basic and not-so-basic patches. I will put some more elaborate things behind a paywall, not that I have any illusion about supporting myself this way!

The link can be found in the README file at https://github.com/HolyCityAudio/SpinCA ... /README.md

Thanks for your interest.

I got a little excited and put a right curly bracket in the wrong place. This kept the simulator from running if the scope was not enabled.

But I fixed it!

https://github.com/HolyCityAudio/SpinCA ... r/releases

- Fixed introduced bug (build 1030) in simulator. Simulator again works whether or not scope is enabled.
- New "Vee" control block.
- Audio mixer blocks all have their lower level of "gain" preset at -18 dB rather than -24 dB.
- 4 to 2 mixer is now based on SpinCAD builder code and is consistent with the other audio mixers.
- Revised the "Instructions" menu to put Half wave and Absa (full wave) next to each other.
- Hooked up controls to ga_demo_wah to make it actually work with SpinCAD (for internal testing).
- Cleaned up some unused imports and removed deprecated Java code for Triple-Tap delay.

I had a Patreon thing going for awhile but discovered it's really bad for documenting software. I moved everything over to Gitbook which is really good for documenting software. I haven't put descriptions in for everything, and who knows, I may never get around to doing it, but here it is anyway. https://holy-city-audio.gitbook.io/spincad-designer
