Maximum FV-1 Sample Clock rate

Post by mr coffee »

How much faster than 48 Khz will the FV-1 go, or, in other words,
what is the maximum sample clock rate for the FV-1 ?

I can't find this information anywhere in the data sheet.

And what is the relationship between applied crystal clock rate and the internal instruction rate clocking?

Thanks

Dunno about the maximum clock rate. According to the datasheet, the chip multiplies the x1 clock speed by 1024 internally. I'm going to be messing around with the variable clock source shown here:

The whole /freeform folder is chock full of good stuff.

The internal PLL generates an signal of 1024xFS and instruction rate is 128xFS.

Max sample rate should be about 50KHz. I have run chips beyond this but would not recommend it for production.
