Quick noob quesiton on EEPROM specs

Just got my dev board the other day. Thanks to Frank for super-fast shipping. :D

So I want to buy at least a handful of EEPROM chips to have around. The PCB silkscreen says "24LC32", and the actual chip is marked "24C32" (no "L"). I had a look at both datasheets, and they do indeed appear to be just about the same thing. Same for AT24C32.

The important specs appear to be "32K serial CMOS EEPROM". Other than that, what criteria is important when buying EEPROMs that are compatible with the FV-1?

Thanks!

Basically, check it works at 3.3V and that is about it. While the interface was designed around the Microchip 24LC32A datasheet, other manufacturers use slightly different markings but should be fine. I believe you have an ST part on your board based on the marking so whichever you can get yours hands on should work.

Thanks for the info!

Yes, the one on my board is ST Micro brand.
