Wave/Dip Soldering Specs

Post by BigLloyde »

Hello, I was wondering about mechanically soldering the FV1 chips. Can they be dipped or wave soldered? Are they able to to be re-flowed? Or is hand soldering a requirement to install them? Thanks

Normal SMT soldering methods are all fine. Just follow all the standard practices for SMD devices.

FV1 IC ‘s are available in 28 SOIC package, so its pitch (The distance between the centers of adjacent pins) is 0.05â€￾(1.27mm) this can be easily soldered by hand. For reflow soldering you need stencil, solder past, reflow oven etc. I suggest you to do manual soldering as the pitch is sufficient for hand soldering.
