FV-1 internal I2C-pull-ups...

Post by dl9sec »

Hi all,

can someone tell me in which scale the internal pull-up-resistors of the FV-1 are?

Background of my question is:
I have built a simple FT232RL based IC-Prog compatible programmer for the 24LC32A (prototype works great). The I2C isn't a real I2C with OC drivers, but the separated data in/out is decoupled by a resistor. So if i want to use this little programmer for in-circuit-programming the pull-ups should be a lot larger than the decoupling resistors. Otherwise the low-level will not go low enough...

Thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly, they are between 4K and 5K. The absolute value will vary due to normal process variations in fabrication.

Hi Frank,

thanks for the reply.

I expected the pull-ups to be in this range.
Ok, i think i will add some OC-stages to overcome threshold problems with the "crippled" I/Os...
