Any reason NOT to use RAMP LFO for multiple pitch shifts?

I realize that each pitch shift stage would need to have the same length buffer and pitch shift, but could I conceivably have 2 or 3 running at the same time? Not sure of the musical application or necessity, but just wondering...
While we're on the subject, I presume that a dedicated DOWN shift could use the shortest buffer length without any issues, and the selection of buffer lengths is primarily to allow some tradeoff for up-shifts depending on the material?
Thx!
