POT input sampling rate?

Hey all!

Just getting started with my FV-1 demo board and interested to learn as much as possible about the part.

How fast are the POT inputs sampled? Could they be used as sensor inputs for modifying parameters in a program in real-time? For instance, using them as an out-of-band signal like a control voltage representing a measured level from a power amplifier, etc.

The usefulness would depend on the frequency resolution of the inputs.

While they are updated at Fs, there is some internal filtering of the pot causing it to have about a 100mS time constant.

Hey Frank,

Thanks for the info. I was just wondering the capabilities. In my current project idea I'm only using one ADC. Is it possible to use the second channel to read DC values, for instance if I wanted 4 pots, or an extra input for a switch? I would assume it would just read a DC value between 0 and VCC?

Nope, ADC inputs cannot be used for DC values. Only the POT inputs will read DC.
