FV-1 - Unused input

I have seen other questions on this topic and the recommendation for mono designs is to drive both right and left inputs... However, is there any power saving that can be accrued if, instead, one input is coupled to ground via a capacitor of, say, 1uF? The corresponding output would be left floating...
