GA_DEMO does not work with external memory

Post by carloscap »

I built GA_DEMO prototype.
When I run GA_DEMO with internal memory it is OK. The device work very well, but when I run GA_DEMO with external memory the device does not work. Not sound, not noise. I apply high level audio signal and clipping led not flash.

I think that hardware it is ok.

See that in GA_DEMO_programs file there is ready GA_demo.hex

If we create a GA_DEMo.hex with spin asm files (eight samples programs) whit spinasmIDE software, the two files are different, why?

where is wrong?

Hmmmm, the difference in hex files could be due to the updated SpinAsm, there was a situation in older SpinAsm versions where the checksum for the hex file could be wrong, fixed in most recent version. Use the file you create rather than the GA_demo.hex

Do you have a schematic and layout we can see? Also, how are you programming the EEPROM?

Hello Frank,

I used GA_demo schematic.

Lay out I do in Pcad software.

I can to send for your review layout in pdf files and eeprom recorder software, ok?

But, I think that my eeprom recorder system is OK.

GA_demo schematic you can see in SPIN home page.

Tell me your email.

Please, send me your approved GA_demo in hex format.

My email is: carloscapitao@chrom.com.br

Thanks

Send files to the Spin support email, they will get to me. Make sure not to send any executable files (i.e .exe or .msi types) our server will delete those emails and I will not see them. Just send PDFs of the schematic, layout, etc.
